This uncommon and elaborate sheet delineates the complex genealogy of the Ottoman Empire's royal families and their coats of arms. A small map, Carte de l'Empire des Turcs en Europe et Asie (7.2 x 4.0"), centers on the Eastern Mediterranean and spans from Greece to Iraq. Printed on 2 joined sheets, as issued.

Old color on watermarked paper with a 2" split and small hole caused by the oxidation of green pigment in the left coat of arms. Light offsetting and toning.
