A crisp, copper-engraved map that features one of the earliest depictions of New Zealand. It reflects the contemporary ambiguity of the Solomon Islands and their connection, along with New Zealand, to the southern continent. The region between New Zealand and the Salomon Islands is here called Terre de Quir. Decorated with several sailing ships in the fully engraved sea, and a ribbon-style title cartouche floating in the sky.
