Population figures are given for cities, and the lengths of rivers are shown. There are plenty of Indian tribes named, and missionary stations are located. A 1980 mile-long Ocean Telegraph is noted off the coast of Newfoundland. Exploration notes in the Arctic include N.W. Passage accomd. by Capt.
