This handsome copper engraving shows an armillary sphere surrounded by diagrams of its various parts. French text panels flank the diagrams at left and right.

On a sheet with a bunch of grapes watermark, light scattered foxing that is largely confined to the margins, and minor offsetting. There is a short edge tear at left that just touches the neatline and a damp stain at bottom center, well away from the image.
