This is a handsome map of today's Morocco and most of Algeria. It extends to include the southern tip of Spain and the Strait of Gibraltar. The map is filled with details including mountains, many rivers and dozens of place names and is embellished with a large decorative title cartouche. A nice example of Sanson's cartography, engraved by Jean Somer.

Contemporary outline color on watermarked paper with some light spots in the map image and a minor stain along the bottom of the centerfold.
