Dramatic chart of a 32-point wind rose with rich baroque decoration. The rose is surrounded by 32 wind-heads that represent various races of mankind. Each of the points is named in six languages (Greek, Latin, Italian, Portuguese, French, and Dutch). Blank verso.

A sharp impression with very light soiling and a minor damp stain that enters the image just above the title cartouche. There are some small chips and edge tears in the blank margins, well away from the engraved image.
