This steel engraving was created by Audin Ponthieu and covers the course of the Rhine River from Mainz to Cologne. Features fine detail along both sides of the river including the rolling hills, individual buildings of both tiny villages and larger towns, roads, bridges, islands in the river, and much more. Place names are located in the margins with an additional small foldout section that allows for the inclusion of the Seven Mountains region. Folds into pictorial paper boards (5.9 x 8.9").

The map is on a bright sheet with light soiling mostly around the folds and where the maps folds into the covers. There are no tears or separations. Covers are soiled and worn.
