This elegantly engraved map presents a very detailed look at the northern counties of England. The map extends from Stafford and Boston deep (the Wash) into Scotland. It includes Anglesey and part of Wales, the Isle of Man, and part of the coast of Northern Ireland, including Belfast. Plenty of towns and cities are identified, and there is excellent topographical detail. The decorative title cartouche at top right shows mermen frolicking with young maidens.

A sharp impression in contemporary color on watermarked paper with a short crack in the title cartouche caused by oxidation of the green pigment that has been closed on verso with archival tape. There are some negligible spots.
