This extremely handsome county map of Oxford is decorated with the heraldry of each of Oxford's colleges being held up by putti, along with the dates of their founding. It is further embellished by a title cartouche featuring two scholars, cross staff, armillary sphere, and distance scale. The verso contains a stylized view of Stonehenge with Latin text. This edition of Atlas Novus was published between 1646-1659.

A dark impression on a bright sheet with light printer's ink residue, a hint of toning along the centerfold, and professional repairs to several separations and a small hole along the centerfold at top. There is light mat burn outside of the image.
