This map depicts the strait of the Dardanelles between the Aegean Sea and the Marmara Sea. Villages, towns and cities are identified along the strait along with several ruins. The new castles of Europe and Asia are depicted at the entrance to the Aegean, while the old castles of Europe and Asia are located within the Dardanelles. An inset at bottom right features the same geography with ancient names.
