This map depicts the kingdom of Troy, with the famed city of Troy located along the coast, just to the left of center. The kingdom of Troy was ruled by King Priam and is best known for the Trojan War, which is symbolized by the Trojan Horse depicted in the title cartouche. The region is divided into nine dynasties and is filled with ancient place names and mountain ranges.

A sharp impression on a sheet with a large coat of arms watermark and contemporary outline color. There is a minor stain in an unengraved area at top right, and a chip in the top left corner that has been replaced with old paper, not affecting map image.
