This fascinating set is a 1946 calendar published by Pan American Airways to promote "international understanding of our neighbors." The set is comprised of 14 sheets that include 12 monthly calendars, a front cover with introductory text, and a back cover with an oval-shaped globe surrounded by a visual lineage of the "Progress of Transportation through the ages." Each month features a collage of images representing a specific region around the world, illustrating the region's history, culture, monuments, and sites. On verso are black and white photographic images of places to visit in the region along with additional information for the traveler. January gives an overview of the United Kingdom, June focuses on the USSR, July features Africa, and December presents Alaska and Canada. The inside front cover promotes Pan Am's fleet of Flying Clippers, with "sound-proof, air-conditioned lounges" to save days "of valuable time-in-transit to every continent."

Overall clean and bright. The sheets are separated from one another and there is light soiling on the front and back covers. The sheets have some tiny tears and abrasions along the edges.
