This sheet features two maps tracing the extent of the Elbe River. The map at top covers from the mouth of Elbe to Madgeburg, while the lower map continues from Berlin to Prague. Plenty of other towns and cities are named throughout, including Hamburg, Luneburg, Brandenburg, Wittenberg, Meissen, Dresden, and Leipzig. A compass rose orients north to top left. Elaborate strapwork cartouches enclose the title (top left) and distance scales (bottom right). French text on verso, published between 1639-44.
