This striking view depicts the Dardanelles leading to the Sea of Marmara, with Constantinople (Istanbul) in the background. Chateau Neuf d'Europe and Chateau Neuf d'Asie are depicted on either side of the Hellespont, with two ships in between. The ruins of Troy are depicted at bottom right.

A dark impression, issued folding and now flattened on a sheet with a bunch of grapes watermark. There are two archivally repaired tears that enter 1" and 3" into image at left, with minor loss of the border at left.
