This superb map shows the county of Rutland and illustrates all the salient features of the county including topography, forests, parks, cities, and villages. The map is handsomely adorned with coat of arms, a distance scale cartouche featuring a geographer with measuring dividers, and a title cartouche flanked with shepherds, livestock and cherubs. French text on verso, published between 1645-48.
