This sheet includes two spectacularly engraved maps of Denmark, first issued in 1595. The maps are filled with place names but with limited watershed and topographical information. The seas are fully engraved in stipple and embellishments include a sea monster, a large sailing ship and several strapwork cartouches. The right-hand map has delicate filigree border surrounds. Italian text on verso, published in either 1608 or 1612.

A nice impression on a lightly toned sheet with marginal soiling and small remnants of hinge tape on verso.
