This large chart of present-day Haiti and the Dominican Republic was completed for the French Admiralty. The coastline includes the locations of settlements, forts, reefs, safe harbors, and fresh water, while the interior is filled with mountainous terrain, rivers, roads, the locations of plantations and notes. Includes two distance scales at bottom with longitude from Paris. Decorated by six compass roses and rhumb lines in the waters.

Issued folding on watermarked paper with light soiling and short fold separations at the top and bottom of both folds that have been closed on verso with old paper.
