This map follows the Loire River from Orleans to Amboise, with north oriented to the left. The river system in the region is well defined, and dozens of tiny towns are named. The map is handsomely adorned with three cartouches, featuring a pair of angels, an interesting winged creature, and the Blois coat of arms. This is the first state of the map with a blank cartouche at bottom right. Blank verso.
