Two decorative maps on a full folio sheet. The map of Galliae Narbonensis is focused on the coast of Provence including Marseille, Narbonne and the Rhone estuary, with west oriented at the top by a unique compass rose. This map was compiled by Carolus Clusius for Ortelius. The map of Savoy, Burgundy and Western Switzerland is based on Boileau de Bouillion's map of 1556, and it is roughly centered on Lake Geneva. Both maps are adorned with strapwork cartouches. Latin text on verso.
