This handsome bird's-eye view of Boston and its surroundings was issued as a promotional item by New England Life Insurance (now MetLife). The main map stretches from Cape Ann south to Plymouth, noting sites of interest along the way. An inset titled "The New and the Historical Boston" zooms in on the city itself, noting locations such as the Paul Revere House, the site of the Boston Massacre, Faneuil Hall, Harvard, MIT, and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. The decorative flourishes mix modern style and classic map motifs. The verso features a street map and plenty of information for the tourist. Self-folds into a pamphlet titled "Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and New England Life Welcome You to the Many Worlds of Boston and Massachusetts Bay."
