This double-page bird's-eye plan of Amsterdam is a smaller version of Braun & Hogenberg's plan of the city. The plan is remarkably detailed with hundreds of individual buildings and houses depicted. Dozens of tall ships ply the harbor and the Amstel River, which bisects the city. The armorial shields of Flanders and Amsterdam decorate the plan. A numbered key identifies over 20 locations in the plan. French text on verso.
