This map details the northern portion of the Centre-Val de Loire region, including the cities of Orleans, Chartres, and Estampes. Political boundaries are illustrated and dozens of tiny towns are named. The map is adorned with a drape-style title cartouche featuring a farmer cutting sheaves of wheat with a sickle. A crisp impression with contemporary outline color and later wash color added in map and cartouche, on a sturdy sheet with a large coat of arms watermark, light dampstains along the edges of the sheet, and remnants of hinge tape on verso.
