This handsome sea chart is centered on the Tyrrhenian Sea, delimited by Sardinia, Elba, the eastern Italian coast and Sicily. The title cartouche is flanked by merchants and a sea nymph, and incorporates an enlarged inset map of the gulf of Naples. This is a later state with a scale of Italian miles added below the title.
