This map of the western hemispheres is drawn in a three-dimensional perspective with the lines of longitude getting closer together along the sides of the sphere. A large southern continent is still prominently shown, and the coastlines of New Zealand and the Salomon Islands are still incomplete. In North America, California is depicted as an island and a large Terre de Iesso separates California from Asia.
