This detailed plan of Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Wilshire District was published as a promotional item by Shaefer's Battery & Ignition. It spans from the Los Angeles Country Club east to Vermont Ave., and from the Hollywood Bowl and Griffith Park south to Pico Blvd. To the left of the map are the addresses of movie studios and the homes of various stars, including Charlie Chaplin, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Bing Crosby, Al Jolson, Maureen O'Sullivan, and Shirley Temple. Red overprinting indicates the districts and points to "Shaefer's Proving Ground." On verso there is a smaller map (6.0 x 4.8") showing directions "in and out of Hollywood," an extensive street index, and more advertising for Shaefer's. Self-folding (7.0 x 10.8").
