Handsome map of the Middle East and the eastern Mediterranean based on Sanson's cartography. The huge, beautifully engraved, title cartouche is flanked by large insets of Judea divided into twelve tribes and a plan of ancient Jerusalem. At upper right is a table describing the travels of St. Paul.

Condition: B+

A sharp impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with the watermarks of "T Dupuy" and rosary beads. There is light scattered foxing and a dampstain in the bottom margin.
