A dark impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with the crossed arrows watermark commonly found on Ortelius maps. There is minor toning along the centerfold and a short centerfold separation in the bottom margin. Just to the east of Besancon, there is a short repaired tear and two 1/2" abrasions with small loss of several trees.
