A lovely, small map of the continent with interesting geographic inaccuracies. Hokkaido is strangely shaped and only partially delineated, and to the east is an island named Staten Land. The mythical Lake Chiamay appears in western China with five rivers flowing south. The Caspian Sea is depicted in an east-west orientation. The map is filled with place names and is adorned with two tiny ships and a superb title cartouche featuring merchants trading in rich silks and spices. Engraved by Jacob Harrewyn.
