This attractive bird's-eye view of Washington D.C. was prepared and published by Jorge Guzman Hernandez in Madrid. It extends from the Potomac River northeast to Union Station showing the buildings, bridges, and overpasses with a three-dimensional effect. The map shows fine detail of the National Mall, U.S. Capitol, White House, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and much more. Buildings shaded in blue indicate federal buildings and museums, and planned buildings are shown with a flower symbol, including the area to the south of the Smithsonian which was slated for urban renewal. The verso contains a large street map of the District, two smaller maps, and indices for both Federal buildings and embassies. Printed by Grafiplas, S.A. Despite being published in Spain, the map and text are entirely in English. We found only 2 past sales records for this map and 5 institutional holdings on OCLC.
