This attractive pictorial map of San Francisco was drawn by artist Don Bloodgood. The map extends as far south as Cow Palace and labels major roads and important sites and districts, including Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Nob Hill and the Seal's Stadium (replaced by Candlestick Park in 1959). Tiny cartoonish figures fill the map engaged in various activities, such as sunbathing, fishing, tennis, football, painting, playing music, and even a policeman catching a criminal. On verso are photo illustrations and descriptions of popular sites and activities. Printed by H.S. Crocker in San Francisco.
