Attractive map of Thuringen based on Adolar Erich's important map of 1625. Roughly centered on Erfurt, it extends to include Mansfeld, Halle, Muhlhausen and Meiningen. Embellished with a fine title cartouche surrounded by putti, a coat-of-arms, and a dedication cartouche to Joachim Vicoforius, signed by Johannes and Cornelius Blaeu. German text on verso, published between 1647-70.

Condition: B+

A dark impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet with light foxing that is mostly confined to the blank margins and a dampstain in the top margin. Remargined at bottom with period-correct paper with loss of neatline.
