An interesting map detailing a fortified canal that was built in 1626 between Venlo and Rheinberg, connecting the Maas and Rhine rivers. It is filled with detail, including cities, farms, and forests. A compass rose orients north to the upper right, and two decorative cartouches enclose the scale of miles and the title. Dutch text on verso.
