This is the northern sheet of Delisle's important two-sheet map of the Russian Empire. The map is centered on Moscow and provides great detail of the towns, roads, forests, and topography. The map is decorated with a nice title cartouche featuring a sleigh, coat of arms, animals, and a hunter.

A nice impression on a sheet with the watermark of the Maltese cross encircled by rosary beads. There is minor creasing at right, and, in the blank margins, several short edge tears and archivally repaired centerfold separations.
