This boldly engraved map covers the heart of European Russia with Moscow near the center. Ukraine and several regions dominated by the Cossacks are noted in the south. The topography, marshes and forests are graphically depicted and the map is filled with historical notations. The title is located above the map, just outside of the neatline.

A dark impression on a sheet with the watermarks of a Strasbourg bend and lily and the initials "D E." There is printer's ink residue, minor toning, and a small minor stain at bottom left.
