Beautifully decorated map of the Aragon region in northeastern Spain, based on the cartography of the Portuguese mapmaker Juan Bautista Labana (1555-1624). Oriented with north to the right, the map is centered approximately on Zaragoza (Caragoca) and extends west to Calahorra and Cuenca, north to Pamplona, and east to Lerida. Finely engraved pictorial topography, elaborate title and scale of miles cartouches, and six royal crests adorn this map. This map is dedicated to Gasparus Charles, seigneur of Baerledoncq. Blank verso.

Condition: B+

A sharp impression with full contemporary color on a bright sheet. There are a few short cracks and one tiny hole that have all been closed on verso with archival tape.
