Handsome world map on Mercator's projection. Most of the northwest in North America is blank except for a notation and hint of the possible Northwest Passage and discoveries of Admiral de Fonte. Decorative title cartouche. Original outline color keyed to the color of the inhabitants - being white, brown, yellow and olive. Minor surface soil in margins, else fine.
