The decoration on this vellum leaf is splendidly executed. On the verso side the text (Luke 1:29) is surrounded with leaves and flowers. The illuminations include burnished gold leaf with red, mauve, blue, and green, and are as vivid as at the time of their creation. The text includes a large historiated initial "Q". On the recto side, which is very austere, is the story of Annunciation (Luke 1:26 & 1:29).
