Lovely map of north-central Italy including Tuscany with the cities of Pisa, Florence and Rome less than ten years after Gallilo's death. Richly decorated with a sea battle, fishing boats, compass roses, a large distance scale topped by two cherubs holding a flag, and a fine title cartouche surrounded by clouds and angels.

Fine original color. Toned with light scattered foxing and a separation on centerfold, poorly closed with a Japanese tissue repair.
