A handsome map with some interesting provisional boundaries in the West, The boundaries between Nevada, Utah and Arizona are shown as they existed in 1863. Washington is shown with its eastern boundary on the Rocky Mountains. Idaho Territory is shown to incorporate all of what would become Wyoming. Dakota Territory takes in all of present day Montana.
