Unusual and very early thematic map illustrating, by means of symbols, the Christian, Moslem and pagan religions of the world. The map is presented on a planispherical projection and does not include the western part of North America. In Asia, Korea is shown as an island and Australia is not shown. The great southern continent is named Terra del Fogo. This is Hondius' second world map added to the Mercator-Hondius pocket atlas.

Lovely original color with a tiny bit of soil, but still very good.
