An intriguing map of the Western States featuring a pre-Gadsden Purchase border with Mexico. Oregon Territory extends to Canada and to the Rocky Mountains. Utah Territory incorporates part of present-day Colorado and all of Nevada. New Mexico Territory extends to California and includes El Paso del Norte [later Ciudad Juarez]. Nebraska is titled North Western Territory. The Oregon Trail is identified from Independence to South Pass. Small inset of the San Francisco Bay area. An uncommon map.
