A very curious and scarce map. The double hemisphere is surrounded by interesting scenes: land surveying and scientific exploits; harvesting and riches; war; and a scene in a Dutch town with people ice-skating. The map depicts the Island of California, only two of the Great Lakes, and a westward stretching coastline above California labeled Nova Albion with numerous place names including C. Mendocino. In Asia and the Pacific Japan is incomplete, as are both Australia and New Zealand.
