Beautiful copper engraved map centered on the Atlantic still bound in the original Supplement for the year 1740. Includes a small part of South America, the Caribee Islands, Newfoundland and Labrador, western Africa and Europe. Rhumb lines, compass rose and portraits of Admirals Blake and Vernon in large medallions. An early and unusually beautiful map for this publication.

Condition: B

During binding a small strip (1/8") was trimmed away and backed with paper. Visually the map is surprisingly good.
