Impressive sea chart covering the Channel from Dover to Portland Bill and from Boulogne-sur-Mer to Cherbourg. The chart is oriented with England on the bottom and is richly embellished with a strapwork title cartouche and a distance scale with a cherub and navigational instruments.

References:

Condition: B

Fine original color. Toned with a few spots. Backed with 18th or 19th century paper for additional strength, as is common for sea charts. Damp stains in margins with weakened paper, not affecting image.
