First state of this attractive copper engraved map on a north polar projection. California is shown as an Island and the Pacific region is completely blank. Good detail in Europe and Asia with even the Great Wall of China shown. Whereas, there is little detail in North America. Ribbon style title cartouche.

Professional repair of binding tear in wide margin, not affecting image and a minor stain in title, overall fine.
