First title has over 130 full-page modern maps with red overprinting to show the Oregon Trail. Written by Gregory M. Franzwa, Patrice Press, 1982, Gerald, Missouri, 299 pp., 133 full-page trail maps, 9 detail maps, 8 photographs. Second book was edited by Mark L. Gardner with foreword by Marc Simmons. Provides details of trail life and wartime conditions in the Southwest through the journals and letters of the Glasgow brothers. Also included is a newspaper interview with Edward Glasgow from 1906. University Press of Colorado, 1993, 229 pp., + xv, b/w illustrations.
