Splendid map of the Azores based on the cartography of Luis Teixeira. The islands are shown in good detail and the map is richly embellished with three large ornate cartouches, a title banner, sailing ships and a sea monster. A very handsome example from a Spanish edition of either 1602 or 1612.

References: Van den Broecke #24.

Condition: A

Excellent impression and coloring with very large margins. Brown ink on verso, opposite text, with a shadow of show-through.
