Bidloo's Anatomia with its innovative engravings by Lairesse was among the first to portray human anatomy in a naturalistic manner from actual dissections. This plate features the respiratory system in great detail. Complete with the accompanying text leaf describing the plate. It is from the second edition issued in English by Thomas Cowper from the plates he purchased from Bidloo.
