Very detailed and precisely engraved map of the British Isles extending through the North Sea. Inset within the map is a plan of London, a small map locating the Crystal Palace, and of the islands of Helgoland and Oberland in Germany. This map has a very interesting use of contour stipple engraving to show depths in the surrounding sea. Outline color is used to delineate the political divisions. With a small vignette of a bird's-eye view of Rockall.
