Beautiful map of all Italy, with Sardinia and Corsica but only the northern part of Sicily. The map was engraved by Jodocus Hondius, with his imprint at lower right, and published in Jansson's atlas. Embellished with a fine title cartouche attributing Philip Cluver, flanked by an angel and a soldier with putti in another cartouche framing the map key. A sailing ship and elegant calligraphy fill the sea.
